Mr. Krishnasa T. Pawar

Founder & Former CEO, Universal Group of Industries

Late Mr. Krishnasa T. Pawar, Founder and former CEO of Universal Precision Tools, was born in Hubli and completed his education in Harihar and Davangere. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from B.D.T. Engineering College, Davangere.

 
He began his career at Mysore Kirloskar Ltd., Harihar, where he gained valuable experience in machine tool manufacturing.
 
In 1972–73, he co-founded Universal Precision Tools along with Mr. N.R. Miskin, focusing on the design and manufacture of precision accessories for the machine tool industry.
 
Through his vision, dedication, and leadership, the business expanded into a group of three specialized companies:
 

  • Universal Precision Tools – Coolant filtration systems
  • Universal Conveyors – Chip handling and conveyor systems
  • Warkin Equipments Pvt. Ltd. – Industrial refrigeration and oil chillers

 
Mr. Pawar is fondly remembered for his engineering excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and the lasting legacy he built in the Indian machine tool industry.

Mr. Narayansa R. Miskin

Co-Founder & Former Commercial Director, Universal Group of Industries

Mr. Narayansa Ramasa Miskin was a Science graduate and a visionary industrialist with over three decades of experience in engineering and manufacturing. He co-founded Universal Precision Tools in 1972, alongside Late Mr. K. T. Pawar, marking the beginning of what would become the Universal Group of Industries.
 
Mr. Miskin played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial and financial foundation. His ability to build long-standing relationships with clients, vendors, and financial institutions earned him deep respect within the industry.
 
Beyond the numbers, Mr. Miskin was known for his calm demeanor, thoughtful leadership, and quiet determination. He mentored many, nurtured a culture of responsibility and integrity, and was a steady force behind the company’s progress.
 
His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the strong foundation he helped lay for the future of the Universal Group.
